Six-Guns 1118 "Contains some new material on Bat Masterson, the Earps, Doc Holliday, the O K Corral fight, the Clantons, and other Tombstone characters." Mintz 351, Oaks traveled to Maryland, California as a boy of fourteen. He apparently remembered little of the trip, as he gives it only a slight mention.Oaks was a teamster for Custer's supply train in 1868 and was present at the Washita, of which he gives an account. O'Keefe 1769. .
