(New York): The New York Public Library, 1976. Softcover. Near Fine. First edition. Illustrated in black and white. Perfectbound wrappers with French flaps. Tiny stains on the topedge and cover, slightly sunned spine, near fine. Laid in is a 6 page copy from the *New York Supplement* regarding the estate of Chester Kallman. Also laid in is a small handwritten card in an envelope addressed to someone named Don: "Dear Don: Your CVV is a perfect model! [?] Bergers' thanks. Indeed for [your?] friendship, all my thanks. If AUDEN proves to be a burden on [your?] shelves, just pass it along to Beinecke. Since Ed Mendelson was a Yale instructor it belongs there too. But if you like it, cherish it. Five years' agony went into that one! [Svet?], Lola.
