About This Item

Santa Rosa:: Black Sparrow Press,, 1999. 1574231065. A Fine tight unread copy in illustrated boards with red corduroy cloth back strip in a mylar cover. This one of only 400 copies with Bukowski lithograph. Most of the poems in this collection are from the early 1970's when Bukowski lived in East Hollywood. In these poems, (which have never been published until now) he belts out hymns to the outsiders, the lost, the cheated and the ignored. He trains his eye on the poor and the underdog. This collection is considered by many Buk enthusiasts to be the best of the posthumously published books to date, with particularly strong poems from his best years..

Synopsis

"These poems, written between 1970 and 1990, are part of an archive that Charles Bukowski left to be published after his death."--T.p verso. Originally published: Santa Rosa, Calif. : Black Sparrow Press, 1999.
