Only issues to boards is a small dent on the back board. Original owner's name signed on front end page but the as well as rear pastedown (Sallie E. Robinson) along with a 1930 date. Pages are clean and binding is good, no other handwriting noted, no bookplates. Exterior page edges shows some foxing and spotting. See photos.

Binding secure, shelfwear to spine ends, edges, and corners, with boards visible through cloth in places at board edges. Previous owner's name in ink on FFEP. Pages otherwise toned but clean and unmarked. Dust jacket is missing pieces of spine, and has smaller missing sections at top and bottom edge of front and back panels. Jacket it toned, and front panel has split from spine, but original title is intact on front flyleaf. Moton's book prefigures the rise of the American civil rights movement, and records the thoughts of the man who succeeded Booker T. Washington in leadership at Tuskegee Institute. . Hardcover. Good/Poor. 8vo.
