Head of boards very lightly sunned. Bright red illustrated dust jacket. Spine of dust jacket slightly faded. Dust jacket unclipped. Signed and inscribed by the author on the title page. Inscription reads "To _____ with appreciation and every good wish", is signed and dated 3/6/2009. Berry's "aching prose and strong sense of place . . . [put him] in the pantheon of Southern writers. This is an important novelist with prophetic things to say and a poetic way of saying them.
