The scarce Christmas Ashendene translation of Tolstoy.From the edition limited to c.200 copies on paper.Printed at Essex House, Chelsea (see colophon), 'Where God Is Love Is', was issued 'With All Good Wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from St. John and Cecily Hornby' 'for their friends whom God preserve this Christmastide'.Also included, inserted loose, is a letter with envelope from Hornby to a 'Miss Crane' on a single sheet of paper with his letterhead ('From C. H. St J. Hornby, Shelley House, Chelsea Embankment &.') and dated '19 April 1926'. Hornby invites miss Crane to 'come here and see my Press on Thursday next Aprill 22. at 5 o'clock', he also proposes some other dates fitting with his travels.
