Good/Good. xii, 562pp w bibliography and index. bw photos, ports, maps, in text; two sections of colour photo plates and historical drawings. Signed by the author on title page. Moisture damage w rippling to top corner of text block from ffep to p70; faint staining extends half-way across the top and half-way down the fore edge. Blue cloth w crisp silver lettering to spine. Light wear to upper fore edge. Faint corresponding spill stain to top front corner. Binding square and sound. Colour photo illustrated DJ showing moderate edgewear, chipping and small loss to head, surface scuff to fore edges and corresponding spill stain. DJ preserved now in archival cover. Quarto. Still a sound reading copy.
