Loss to top and bottom of spine. with a triangular divot out of the letter H in the word the. The front panel of the dust jacket is unclipped and has a 7575 priced front flap. Back flap a blurb for "Touchdown Pass", dating this copy to 1948. Back panel of the dust jacket states ADVENTURE STORIES FOR BOYS BY ZANE GREY. BOOK: Brown boards with two boys in 30's period clothing at center. One wears a hat and scarf. Two sets of orange and white endpapers that show the boy with the hat up a tree with binoculars gazing at a cabin on a bluff across the way. Pages and endpapers are clean and bright. Black topstain. Copyright 1932 Grosset & Dunlap. No other printings mentioned on copyright page. Plot Summary: " A banker named Raymond Dalrymple of Lakeside gets death threats and shows up at the Hardy house, seeking Fenton Hardy's assistance. Frank and Joe offer to help and he reluctantly agrees. Soon after that, during a hike with their friends, the hardy boys are nearly run over by a car. They then investigate Purdy place.
