About This Item

New York: Holt Rinehart & Winston, (1970). First edition. Front endpaper with SIGNED bookplate affixed at center and LBJ Library & Museum gold-foil emblem affixed to lower inside corner. The dust jacket is not priced and has the publication date code "1170" at bottom (not present on other jackets we've seen); is cream-colored versus the bright white usually seen; is slightly taller and not quite as wide; and is of better quality than others we've examined. The book itself is a full ounce heavier than other copies. We're not aware of a book-club edition of this title. The LBJ Library and Museum was not dedicated until May 1971--perhaps a special issue, or an early one, set aside for sale there? Fine in fine dust jacket. INTERESTING ANAMOLY OR EARLY ISSUE?
