Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1926. First Edition. Cloth. Near fine. Small octavo, vii, [blank], 34pp. Blue cloth, title in gilt on spine, embossed illustration on cover. Bookplate of Frederick Baldwin Adams affixed to front endpaper. Lacking dust jacket, but contains a cutout of the front panel from dust jacket, laid in opposite title page. This printing was limited to 1000 copies. This book captures a speech that Franklin Roosevelt gave at Milton Academy in 1926. It was the first publication for the future President of the United States.
This book belonged to Frederick Baldwin Adams Jr, the director of the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York City and respected bibliophile.
