Carthage, New York: Argus, 2010. Hardcover. VERY GOOD PLUS. SIGNED BY AUTHOR to front free endpaper with city and date. Corners bumped. Light shelfwear to boards. Bottom spinecaps folded under with one .25" tear. A thin 6.5" line of delamination to front board at spine and two small spots to rear spine. Brown lettering to brown spine, tan lettering to glossy brown boards. Book is 2.25" thick. Black and white photographs and illustrations. Clean, tight, bright. 785 pp with bibliography and general sources. This collection of stories, which is seemingly unrelated, has one common thread, the life of Whit Needham. "He is one of those newspaper men who are now too few in that his conception of his work is that money-making is secondary and standing four-square for the right is the first duty of an editor," (an explanation). HEAVY. May require EXTRA shipping.
