About This Item

Burgundy cloth covered boards with gilt lettering on spine. Hardcover includes CD and beautiful woodcut engravings by Michael McCurdy. This is a collectible and is ready for gift giving, like new, hardcover, DJ, and CD. Jean Giono, the author, was one of France's greatest writers, winning numerous awards including the Prix de Monaco. His fable brings to life a Shepard who plants one hundred acorns a day for thirty years, and transforms the countryside.
