Describing sea-trout fishing, pigeon caves, shooting geese and seas, as well as wild swans and shooting with the camera. Written by Charles V. A. Peel, a keen natural historian, big game hunter and traveller.Illustrated throughout the text with photographs and with a frontispiece depicting Bernard geese.The first edition of this work.With the ownership bookplate of Lieutenant Colonel Henry Courtney Brocklehurst, a veteran of the First World War awarded the 1914 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal. He was stationed in Burma during the Second World War where he was killed in action aged 54 in 1942. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; a mark to the top corner of the front board, and some bumping to the extremities and the head and tail of the spine. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, binding is a little tender throughout. Pages are bright and clean. Good
