Nice copy. small octavo. hardback in decorated cloth 159pp., index, William Dunbar (1459 or 1460 Ð 1530) was a Scottish makar, or court poet, active in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. He was closely associated with the court of King James IV and produced a large body of work in Scots distinguished by its great variation in themes and literary styles. He was probably a native of East Lothian. With a nice red & black title-page. Small institutional stamps o/w a nice copy with red & black decorated boards with bright gilt titles at spine
