Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, 1926. Classic adventures of mild Mole, genial Ratty, wild Toad and calm Mr Badger, in an antique edition nicely illustrated by Barnhart. Bound in blue cloth with gilt lettering on cover and spine; stamped black illustration of a mouse reading under a tree on front board and spine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 351 pp. There are 8 bright full-page color illustration plates, including a tissue-protected frontispiece, and 4 full-page black and white drawings.
Condition: The book is in VG condition overall. The cover cloth is a little age darkened and the titles on the spine have faded. There's a lengthy inscription on the half-title page (see photos) but otherwise unmarked.

Synopsis
