Together with a loose postcard, hand-written and also Signed by the Author. In the original publisher's glossy pictorial card covers. No dustjacket as issued. 56 pps. " A collection of 19 short fiction works presenting portraits of various lonely characters, their hopes and fears, and their individuality while facing life and death, set against two differing backgrounds - the Welsh Borders and Mississippi. ". Poet and essayist. John was born in Abergavenny, Gwent and lived in Denmark from 1969-1982. He was editor of Planet, The Welsh Internationalist from 1990-2006. John has published several collections of poems, mixed poems and fiction, and collections of essays, one of which, The King of Ashes, won a Welsh Arts Council Prize for Literature in 1990.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author .
