Small hole to spine and several small holes to front cover, some old tape repairs to reverse, small tape repair to top corner of front cover. A few chips and short tear to edges, very clean and well preserved for its age. A very early example of a decorated jacket. Overall jacket condition is Very Good. Book: Quarter cloth with illustrated paper covered boards. Truly remarkable condition, very slight rubbing to edges of covers, gift inscription to front free endpaper. A few light spots of to endpapers, otherwise in first class condition throughout. Illustrations to each page, many of them in colour. Overall book condition is Near Fine.
