About This Item

London: Methuen & Co. Ltd, (1926). First Edition. First Printing Very good+ in full, light blue leather covered boards with gilt text on the spine, and the image of Christopher Robbin and Pooh with gilt borders on the front board, illustrated map end sheets and with all edges of the text block gilt. A 12mo measuring 7 1/2 by 5 inches with very light rubbing to the leather at the head and heel of the spine and to the tips of the boards. There is a slight lean to the spine and the front board has a gentle bow. Pages xii through 6 show light brown stains in the lower margins not impacting on the text. A similar light brown stain of 1/8 inch appears in the lower margins of pages 95 to 100 and pages 145 to 148. Without a dust jacket as issued. This is the publisher's deluxe, leather bound, first printing edition. 158 pages illustrated throughout with line drawings by Ernest H. Shepard.
