About This Item
London: Constable & Co., 1966. First English Edition (Za310) (R237). Hardcover (with Dust Jacket). Very Good. 8vo (829 pages, illustrated with photographs). Excerpts from the diaries of Winston Churchill’s physician, Sir Charles Wilson (nee Lord Moran); an important sourcework, somewhat circumscribed by the fact that Churchill was often ill when the author saw him. This is a very good copy of the First English edition in a price-clipped dust jacket. The contents are fine, with tape shadows on the front and rear pastedowns and endpapers. Laid-into the book is a typed letter signed: “Moran,” on embossed notepaper, dated “28th April 1966,” relating to a speaking engagement “on the subject of my book.”
