New York: St. Martin’s Press, 1993. FIRST EDITIONS, PRESENTATION COPIES, 3 vols., 8vo, pp. [xii], 242; [x], 244; [xii], 242. Original black and red boards, spines lettered in silver and gilt, colourprinted dustjackets. A touch rubbed to extremities, spine ends bumped. Postcards from the author presenting the books loosely inserted in first and third volumes, pencil ownership inscriptions (including the recipient) to front flyleaves. First editions of the initial three volumes of The Domesday Books, a series of books set in Elizabethan England penned by Keith Miles (b. 1940) under the pseudonym Edward Marston, a name taken from Elizabethan playwright John Marston (1576-1634). The postcards from the author in the first and third books present the copies to a previous owner.
