About This Item
Boston: World Peace Foundation, 14-Oct. World Peace Foundation Pamphlet. Softcover. Very good. 12mo pamphlet. Stapled, as issued. 12pp. Aimed at women in the US, Mead argued that if Julia Ward Howe were still living, she would be opposing World War I in Europe, just as she had publicly opposed European hostilities in the 1870's. Mead argued that "militarism [was] the foe of woman's progress. "Julia Ward Howe's Peace Crusade. Slight tanning to front page. Small date stamp (1 Jan 1915) on inner margin of page 3. Upper spine just beginning to fray. Still a very good copy.
