Felix Mahony. 1st Printing 1 Copyright date is 1910, first edition, first printing. bound by green cloth-covered boards with a photo-illustration on the front cover. The title is stamped in black ink on the front cover and in gilt letters on the spine. A classic sports hero story intended for young boys, "Won in the Ninth" was written by Christophe Mathewson, a famous baseball player of the era, with significant help from the popular 20th century sports writer W.W. Aulick. The boards of this title display mild to moderate indications of rubbing and shelfwear. The binding and hinges are solid and intact. Some typical light age toning is visible on the pages though the text and illustrations remain clear and legible throughout the book.
