London: Printed for I Tonson, 1729. [18], 450, xci, [1]pp. With an engraved portrait frontispiece, an engraved title page, and a further three engraved plates. Contemporary blind-tooled reversed calf, contrasting black morocco lettering-piece, all edges red. A trifle rubbed and marked, spine compartments at head and foot of spine very neatly replaced, chipping to lettering-piece. The Pull Court LIbrary copy, with book label to and armorial bookplate of Buchley Park, Worcestershire, to FEP, occasional spotting. The first collected edition of the works of poet Edmund Waller (1606-1687), edited by fellow poet of Elijah Fenton (1683-1730), containing all of the poems which had hitherto appeared, with the addition of four never before published. The various prefaces to earlier editions are reprinted. ESTC T101629. Grolier English 100, 27.. First edition. Large quarto.
