About This Item

Cleveland and New York: The World Publishing Company, 1958. First Thus [Facsimile]. Decorated cloth. Fine/Very Good +. Edward Burne-Jones. Folio, cream-colored blind-stamped decorative cloth, Introduction by John T. Winterich ... and a Glossary for the Modern Reader, Illustrated with 87 full-page B&W woodcuts [lithographically reproduced] by Burne-Jones, 554 pages. SUPERB & AFFORDABLE Facsimile with the heft and feel of an original copy that would cost 40-to-50 times more! Its thick Morris'-like pages have deckle edges. The print is crisp though a wee bit lighter (as lithographically printed) than Morris's original very dark custom font. The suit of Burne-Jones' illustrations have all the sharp detail of the originals and are entrancing! Condition: Cover and contents clean and bright. Very Scarce in the dust jacket, which has very slight chipping along the extremities and waterstaining on the verso--none of which affects the beautiful decorative light yellow cloth.
