Set is not numbered but appears complete in 8 volumes, with each title complete by itself, with all of Andersen's works. Decorative Victorian cloth bindings. With gilt and embossed designs. Illustrated by M. L. Stone and V. Pedersen. Gilded crest to the covers. Some volumes illustrated with plates. Printed on thick quality paper. 7.5 inches tall. 10.5 inches of shelf space. In excellent condition. Near Very Good. Some external rubs, shelf wear. The hinges are 100% fully attached. Early armorial bookplate. Very clean internally. About free of any trace of foxing. Internal hinge paper with some separation. Andersen's works are difficult to obtain. These display beautifully. Titles: Stories and Tales, includes Andersen's classic Fairy Tales (see the picture of the table of contents to see the full list of included tales); The Story of My Life; A Poet's Bazaar; In Spain & A Visit to Portugal; O. T. A Danish Romance; The Improvisatore; Only A Fiddler; Pictures of Travel. This set would make an excellent gift and/or addition to any fine library.
