This is a Very Good (minus) copy of the First Edition Thus: "The History of the Life of the Late Jonathan Wild the Great" with the addition of "The Good-Natured Man." Full leather binding. Ruled in gilt on the covers and spine. Black spine label with title; circular label with "5." Clean text; 331 pages. Marbled endpapers and a frontis engraving. The text is nicely white and fresh, unfoxed. While basically sound, the boards have split and there are several chips to the spine and the front cover. Quercus suggests this would be a good candidate for a nice rebind.. First Thus. Full-Leather. Very Good (Minus)/No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
