London: W. Strahan (and 21 Others), 1784. This is a Very Good copy of "A New Edition" - Volume Ten only of a 10-volume set. Full leather binding of smooth calf leather. Covers ruled in gilt; titled on the spine in gilt within a red compartment; fancy gilt decorations. Contents: "The Covent-Garden Journal," "A Charge delivered to the Grand Jury," "The Journal of a Voyage to Lisbon," "A Fragment of a Comment on Lord Bolingbroke's Essays," and "An Enquiry into the Causes of the late Increase of Robbers." Clean text; very bright and clear; frontis engraving; 455 pages. Minor rubbing and bumps. Spine has darkened and the decorations have been rubbed; gilt is dulled. Still, a solid copy and quite readable today.. First Thus. Full-Leather. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
