A good plus copy in contemporary leather which is rather heavily worn and chipping, excised signature on front free endpaper, staining/browning to some pages, but overall a tight clean copy.. The journals of an early abolitionist, Woolman's journals have been among the only continuously published works in North America since the American Revolution. Charles Lamb says "Get the writings of John Woolman by heart." DNB.
