Edinburgh: Longmans, Green & Co, 1900. Limited Edition; Edinburgh Edition. Hardcover. Book condition is Very Good in boards. Some fading to color at spine of all volumes and minor wear to cloth exterior. Some foxing to a few volumes. Crack to hinge and tissue page partially detached in "Treasure Island." Text is clean and unmarked. Gilt top page edges. Most volumes retain spare title labels. Limited to 1,035 copies, this set hand-numbered 154 and initialed. In addition, this set includes Second Editions (with matching bindings) of "Letters to his Family and Friends" in two volumes, and "The Life of Robert Louis Stevenson" by Graham Balfour, in two volumes. Laid-in Volume One, Miscellanies, causing some toning to those end papers, is an original bumped and a bit foxed clipping containing an obiturary of Robert Louis Stevenson, dated Dec. 18, 1894, from "The Times," as well as a gift note dated 1894, saying that each subsequent volume will be delivered upon publication. Mr. Stevenson passed on Dec. 3, 1894 in Samoa. A beautiful, scarce set. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.
