Books measure 180mm x 120mm approximately.
Two volumes, bound in full contemporary tan leather. Spine with five gilt-ruled raised bands with gilt motifs to compartments and red title / volume labels. Engraved frontispiece and title vignettes to volumes I & II. Folding plate of The Leasowes to volume II, plus a couple of smaller engravings within text. Small neat previous owner bookplate to front paste-down of each volume.
CONDITION
Both volumes holding nice and firm with both front upper hinges showing early signs of cracking, but nothing serious. Lightly scuffed with the occasional surface chip and a few darker marks consistent with age but producing a lovely sheen / patina, else overall a handsome set. Some bumping to board corners. Internally there is occasional dustiness, the odd pale grubby patch and spot, else all volumes are in good, clean and tight condition.
A nicely presented two volume set.
Please refer to the photo images for a clear indication of both condition and content.
