Marshall with notes and introductions to each play by F.A. Marshall and other Shakespearian scholars and "Life of Shakespeare" by Edward Dowden. With numerous engravings by Gordon Browne. A relatively early printing of this edition. Large octavos, quarter bound in brown leather with gilt lettering, borders, and design on the spines, green cloth covered boards with gilt device on front boards, top edges gilt, dark brown endpapers. Some minor wear to the leather spines, previous owner's book-plate on front paste-downs, else each volume is very good. Binding are solid. An attractive, well preserved set. .
