London: The Reprint Society, 1954. Book Club Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First printing from The Reprint Society. Both volumes have very good bright green cloth boards, red title fields to back strip with gilt titles. The covers are clean and bright. Volume One is a little loose from front hinge. The corners and spine ends of Volumes One and Two are a little bumped. The end papers are clean, except for slight foxing to rear end papers of Volume One. Red tinted cut edges; the fore and tail edges are unmarked. The text block of Volume Two is tightly bound, straight and clean. The block of Volume One is a little loose, with webbing visible from title page. Otherwise, this volume is very good with firm, clean pages. Neither volumes are annotated etc. Without jackets.
