Annotated games from Philidor and Staunton up to the age of Botvinnik including a section on U.S. players in the 1930s/40s, such as Denker and Evans. The author provides brief introductions and sample games on over 50 players. Descriptive notation.. Hard Cover. Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
