This particular volume has a split in the from endpaper and both front and rear covers have creases running top to bottom. Pages are clean, tight and unmarked. Contains 10 short stories. (When you have ten volumes, you will be complete.)

The eighth volume of ten in Funk & Wagnall's The World's One Hundred Best Short Stories with the theme of stories about Men. If you have a partial set or want to collect a set, this could be a good place to start. Red fabric covers show mild wear at the edges and corners. The rear cover shows some bleaching from water exposure, but there doesn't appear to be any water stains on the pages. Fabric faded a bit over the spine and the once gilt print has darkened to black over the past 96 years. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked. I have others of this series.
