A FIRST EDITION, first printing from 1939, this hardcover book has green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to front cover. Condition is VG: very clean, binding straight & strong, pages moderately tanned, commensurate with age; NO foxing. Former owner's name in neat pen on ffep; NO other writing/underlining/highlighting; NOT ex-lib. Flaws: rubbing to extremities. The unclipped DJ (with orig. $.75 price intact on front flap) is downgraded to only Fair due to its missing nearly half of the spine & general edgewear all around.
