[1976] Tan leather binding, gilt designs and lettering, five raised ridges on spine, gilt on all three sides, satin moiré endpapers, specially milled paper, 563 pages. Illustrated by Ben S. Wohlberg. Condition: Fine. New. Book ordered by collector direct from the publisher in 1976; kept it as a collectible. Never read. (Other dealer listings of this book online may say Fine or New, but the books have been read. This book has never been read, it's still crisp and new.) In gift-giving condition. Free of smelly old humidity stains and the smoke smell of a cigarette or cigar smoker. Stored in temperature-controlled bookcase. Franklin Library (a division of Franklin Mint), published collectible books of high-quality materials. Since the publisher ceased operations in 2000, all editions are considered out-of-print, many uncommon and collectible. The New York Times commented that "this story of the death of an old order and the birth of a new one, of the perpetually renewed conflict between succeeding generations …holds the reader's attention to the end." Another publisher said "a substantial and satisfying piece of fiction." The story won the 1931 Pulitzer Prize. A very collectible book in genuine leather binding. Note: We are a well-established, well-respected, ethical book dealer in business since 1991. We describe the condition of our books thoroughly and honestly, so you'll know exactly what you will receive when you order. We ship promptly. . Leasther Bound. Fine. Illus. by Ben S. Wohlberg.

About R. Siedlecki Vintage Books

We are a well-established, well-respected dealer that is professional, honest, and ethical in our business dealings. We tend to describe each book in a reserved, conservative manner, rather than oversell a book or sidestep the responsibility of addressing its flaws. Book club editions and library books along with books without dustjackets (if they came with dustjackets) are pointed out in our descriptions. We describe our books in detail, pointing out the precise condition of each book based on our opinion. It's your assurance that the book we describe is as close as possible to the book you’ll receive. In business since 1991, we typically have five-star ratings on major web sites.
