About This Item
Yosemite: Yosemite Falls Studio, 1922. First edition. Folio. [8] pp. Stapled into original brown printed wrappers. Old glue stain to lower front wrapper else a very good copy.Daniel Foley managed the Yosemite Valley tourist office, which published a guide, a view book, and a newspaper for visitors. This is a copy of the newspaper for the date of June 27, 1922 (Vol. 7, No. 35). As with all issues, this throw-away contains and extensive list of the Park visitors of that date, information about Yosemite and ads for local businesses. For example, we learn that Cecil Leet of Detroit has begun his 9-month hike in the mountains of California; Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Lawson of Venice (CA) drove to Yosemite on their way to the Pacific Northwest, etc.
