New York: Random House, 1948. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very good. Stated first printing. Great novel of one German and two American soldiers in World War II & basis for movie. Bound in red and black cloth, with a few light rubs on the rear board. Top edges red. Dust jacket is bright and has $3.95 price intact on flap. Edgewear at top and bottom of jacket spine with a couple of tiny chips and a half-inch tear. Comes in a fine black and orange custom slipcase.
Synopsis
The Young Lions a 1958 film based upon the 1949 novel of the same name by Irwin Shaw, and starring Marlon Brando, Montgomery Clift, and Dean Martin.
