Harper & Brothers, 1912. Hardcover. Very Good in Good DJ. Early printing 1912, very good + red cloth hardcover with gilt to cover and spine that shows mild rubbing and touch of bumping to corners, name, place and date to front end paper, along with some other light trace wear, in good + hard to find dust jacket that is clipped at all corners of flap (price at spine), shows soiling, and displays edge wear in the form of closed tears and open chips with largest being at spine tail edge of front panel (inch wide by 3/4 inch deep). Jacket shows inf on how to open a book and reader's duty at front and rear inner flaps. 192 pages with illustrations and tissued frontispiece by Frank Craig.Still a pleasing copy of Bennet's reflections on visiting America where he was "..welcomed to this country with an enthusiasm such as has not been accorded to any English writer since Thackeray."Front Panel
