Hardback, 1923, first edition, vintage children's book published by Oxford University Press, 111 pages plus plates containing 28 illustrations.
Cloth boards and spine, front board patterned. A little discolouration to spine. Boards are a little marked with the odd dent. Signs of rubbing and shelf-wear. A bit grubby on upper edges. Corners a little bumped . Binding quite firm. Page edges browned and a little foxed. Foxing and marking to endpapers and a gift inscription to recto side of second page but otherwise page surfaces are quite clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
