There is a moderately sized bump to the foot of the spine, but otherwise, the binding is tight and solid, the edges of the boards are sharp, with no soiling. The interior is clean and clear of markings. Texts in German and English, with reproductions of drawings in full page color, as well as contextualizing images in black and white.
