Worn suede wraps with maple leaf imprint and "S" on cover. Chips and wear to edges, 1-1/2 piece missing at top of spine, moderate soiling to suede. Binding is tight, no cracking, all text pages are very clean (printed on high quality glossy paper). Small name on front free endpaper (Ellis G. Rhode - 1911). Unpaginated - size of book is approx. 7-3/4" x 10" and just under 1" in thickness. Beautifully illustrated with photos of college students, 1912 graduates, college grounds and faculty, cartoons and illustrations. Interesting full page display advertising at rear of book. Included with book is program from the Nineteenth Annual Field Meet of the Iowa Inter-Collegiate Athletic Association held at Haskin's Stadium in Des Moines on May 28 and 29, 1908; a one-page (7-1/2" x 16") broadside of Simpson College Songs and Yells (dated 1907); FOUR photographic post cards from 1911 and 1912 featuring photos of the college and college sports teams; and a publication of the Kallonian Literary Society of Simpson College (Constitution and By-Laws). Protective slipcase provided.

Real wooden boards with faux leather spine lettered in gilt, illustrated endpapers, 255 pages, illustrated throughout with photographs and well-produced wood engravings in the Renaissance style. Light shelfwear, mainly rubbing to the spine ends, good hinges, sound text block, clean pages with some occasional light foxing to the first and last few pages, no names or other markings..
