New York: E. B. & E. C. Kellogg, 1865. Hardcover. Good-. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, brown priced blindstamped buckram with gilt text to spine. Exterior shows moderate edge and corner bumps, spine is frayed at top and bottom and is also sunned. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Text pages are tight though papers is toned and foxing is present throughout. Front pastedown chose a spot in the upper corner where a sticker once was. Front end page shows original owner's name and address written in pen as well as some odd things written in pencil. Rear end page shows a drawing at the bottom and a small poem, both written in pencil. Page 130 has a tear at the bottom of the page. All pages show dampstains, mostly in the bottom outside corners though some also have along the top edge. This in no way affects any of the pages as far as reading or browsing. The poem in the rear of book was apparently from an unhappy student: " Nine more days of toil and sorrow we poor students have to stay. We only wish it was tomorrow that we were going away".

Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.
We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.
Yesterday's Book shop is owned and operated by a disabled veteran. Due to my limitations, I often have to rely on speech-to-text software to list the books. If the description has typos ("and pages" instead of "end pages", pace downs instead of pastedowns, guilt instead of gilt, etc,) PLEASE let me know so I can correct the listing. The software spells words by phonetics and can make errors that I may not catch.

Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.
