Paris: LeTerrain Vague, 1964. Hardcover. Fair. Black cloth hardcover lacking dustjacket. A fair only copy - ex-library with all the markings and tags, including "withdrawn" stamps as appropriate. Externally this is a very rough copy. Corners and spine ends bumped and split through the cloth. Back strap is detaching from the binding but still connected at the ends (see photo). Sunning and soil to the rear board. Binding is intact but lacking in tightness, with several gatherings opening quite wide. Pages have minimal library impact (a call number pencilled on the copyright page and a couple of embossed library stamps). 95 pp., b/w representations of Duchamp's ready-mades - found object art.

Milano: Galleria Schwarz, 1964. cloth, hardcover in dust jacket in slipcase, with pink cardstock bookmark and four-page promotional brochure, both laid-in., black cloth cover has a rendering of duchamp's "fountain" with lettering above and below., there are minor bits of wear to the dj spine-ends and corners. there are some dust-spots along folds of dj flaps. bottom fore-corner of textblock has the faintest bump artifact you're likely to see. there are some faint spots to one page of the brochure. for all of that, we still have a nice, complete copy of the first trade edition. no markings. no real bumps or concerning wear. strong binding.; parallel text, italian/french/english.; 100pp., 47 illustrations including 14 in color.; NOT the deluxe edition. published to coincide with an exhibition.. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Plus/Very Good. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.
