Staunton, Virginia: Press of Caldwell-Sites Company, 1908. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavo. 336 pages. Hardcover bound in 3/4 brown leather with brown marbled paper-covered boards. The binding is worn but sound. The leather is starting to get dry but is still holding. There is a little splitting to the leather on the rear outer hinge near the foot of the spine. A sound copy with secure inner hinges. Untrimmed fore edge has some brown stains that stay on the edges of the margins. A couple of handwritten dates are written in pencil on the last page of text. Contains several illustrations, mostly portraits.
