About This Item

Newark; Union, NJ: Common Sense, 1970. Newspaper. Sixty-eight issues of the tabloid-format anti-Semitic and anti-Communist newspaper, generally four pages each, paper toned, some early issues rather worn with closed tears, or with edge chipping not reaching the text; later issues generally in very good condition aside from the fold and the toned paper. Some have penciled note such as "Native Fascist" in the corner, written by the original recipient. Numbers present are 55, 60-63, 85, 87-89, 92, 93, 96, 97, 100 (splitting at the fold), 105-111, 125, 136-139, 148, 149, 172-181, 193, 195-197, 199-202, 217-219, 255-258, 264, 268 (red pencil captions written on cover warning about Communist front organizations), 303, 328-330, 396, 413-416, 538, 561, 562, and 564. Breathless coverage of imaginary UN conspiracy to form one-world government under Jewish domination, anti-Zionist and extremely anti-communist reportage from the time of the establishment of Israel, etc.
