Illustrated with 30 tipped in monochrome plates depicting various personalities whom Dickens knew and drew upon for inspiration in creating his literary characters, all with tissue guards intact. Second printing. No previous ownership marks. Mild fading to back-strip and general light wear overall, with sporadic, very light foxing. A solid, internally clean, unmarked copy. Not in Podeschi. A near very good copy.. Second Printing. Hardcover. Near Very Good/Not Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
