Illustrated with numeorus diagrams, charts and b/w photographs throughout. Neat ink name inscirption Wm Vickers to the front end paper, possibly related to the famous Vickers munitions manufacturers.The cloth at the head and tail of the spine is turned in and there is light mottling to the front board. Significant damp soiling to the lower edge of the rear board with an associated tide mark covering up to 2/3rds of the rear board. There is also a strip of rubbing across the head of the rear board, and across the centre all of this resulting in the rear board being rather unattractive.
