Cloth uniformly sunned, spine ends frayed, corners worn. 19th- century library bookplate on front pastedown, private library stamp on front free endpaper. Overall a good plus copy. Biography of this western legend who accompanied Fremont. "This work is largely a compilation of stories and legends. Parts are taken from Fremont and DeWitt Peters" - Wagner-Camp. This first edition is rather scarce. WAGNER-CAMP 353:1. RADER 539. SABIN 9213.
