[New York]: Elliot Publishing Co, 1938. Unbound. Near Fine. Tall narrow broadside. 5.25" x 22". Several neat horizontal folds, else about fine. Promotional broadside for a book of verse, *The Queen is Dead: A Book of Impertinent Stories and Unabashed Verse* with a biographical sketch and identifying Jane Burr as the pseudonym of Rosalind Guggenheim, a Texas-born Jewish activist and "bohemian". According to the Smith College overview for her archives: "During the 1910s and 20s, [Burr] resided in New York City and was part of the Greenwich Village crowd of radicals, artists, and writers. She wrote articles on women's rights, marriage, dress reform, birth control, and changing sexual attitudes. In 1922 she traveled around the world studying and writing articles about the condition of women for United Press. In London she caused a stir by wearing her famous "knickerbockers."
